How do you know he does not know what he is taking about it?
I have read many arguments about the price of oil, and research the issue, and when I do research I do broaden to exterior news media and opinion, because to be honest there are not too many honest answers.
Lessening to the Congress hearing? I only get a lot more questions. Nothing worse than to hear a bunch of politicians trying to make a show to the public.
So we use and destroy a natural resources, when we have the ability and the capacity to look for other sources of energy, but that will mean that we have to change our consumer habits for the good of the rest. What it is wrong with that? We have very bad consumerist habits. All parties only can last so long.
Well, we have taken too many things for granted in our nation, and perhaps it is time to change and become more conscientious about the maladies that our habits can be give to future generations.
If the price of oil it is too high, then we have to re-think our habits and how to do better in not to use so much oil.
My nice fountain of water? Out! Now I have to cover that up to make a planter.
All the lights on? No more.
Trips to work or to do errands? Reduce and compound to reduce gas cost.
All TV’s on and lights on in the house? Off
Nintendo’s, Play stations and so on? I could not believe how much electricity they do consume.
Laundry leave n the dryer until the cycle finish? Forget that! Not I check when it is dry before a cycle finish.
Junk food? I am not talking about hamburgers and so on. I am talking about the carbonated drinks, the Packages of chips, the cookies and similar products that are not real food. Just a bad habit.
Toys every trip to the grocery store? No more. Instead of listening to the winning, they stay home while we shop. The question of what did you buy for me, with the answer: food! It is not a question any more.
Kids as k: can I go with you? No because you always want something and if I do not get it, then I have an attitude, it is not good for you and me.
Three meals a day on the table cook and that it is that. Fruit juice it is OK, if not the so much mention Kool-Aid and the Limonite.
The reduction on all parts of the budget has make life a lot easier and healthier.
Yes, the kids must be thinking that Mom/Grandma it is a penny pincher. Kids can be smart than adults. Now a 10, 9. & 8 years old are asking what they ca do to help to make money. Finally!
As soon as they are told, you can help Dad/Grandpa to clean dog poop on the yard? They go about their business as they did not ask the question and did not hear the answer.
Just in case...the kids are leaving the rooms, clean before they do leave, well, l clean from all toys all over the rooms.
I sometimes wonder what they are thinking, because they did pick up those habits on their own now.
So no, we all have a responsibility as too the price of oil today with our bad habits.
I do not have the answer, but I certainly can have the control in my life as to how much oil and derivatives I can stop using to a big degree.
We did raised the air pressure on our tires to reduce the use of gas, (as I read hammerhhi suggested, true or not it is worth to try) it is a bumpier, an I am keeping track to see if it is true or not. Need more time to verify, to compare with previous long time records. But I will let you know what my findings are. We work from home, so there it is not much driving for me to do the equation that fast. Perhaps some one with more “must drive” can tell me. Many of us have to confirm the issue to see if in fact more air pressure on the tires will reduce the use of gas. A matter of Scientific Method.
So in this family, we stop listening to all arguments about the price of oil, and went to work on reducing the need of oil.
We can not all sit down and write or argue about it, but we can all do something to not be so seriously affected by. At the end of the day, it is my budget the only one thing, that I have control over in a good or bad economy.
Bikes are our next goal. I am researching for good self charging by pedal, electric ones.

This guy is a idiot and I am glad to not be in his company.
It seems like he is the type to think.
Hey look at the mess we have here...who's fault is it? who's fault is it ?
There are plenty of other options to bring down oil dependency without drilling off our beautiful coasts and or drilling in a "WILDLIFE REFUGE "
