MIAMI -- There was no one thing that caused Hector Salinas to pack his bags and give up for good on the trials of life as an illegal immigrant in South Florida. Read the story here.
A quick look around will verify what Sr. Salinas said, yet apparently here in Beaufort County our Lawful Employment Ordinance investigations seem unable to find any irregularities...........not to worry........Sheriff Tanner will.

Perhaps many are to committed to their obligations to pay their mortgages.
We cannot just take foreigners into our country, because they desire a better life for their family no matter what the circumstances. That would mean the majority of third world countries inhabitants would find a way to crash our borders. Our country has been suffering under an invasion of millions of foreign national, who have the audacity to demanding rights even though they broke our immigration laws to get here.
The Federal SAVE ACT (H.R.4088) would correct this illegal occupation of our country. People are becoming 'Whistle-blowers' and using their inside knowledge to report activity regarding fraudulent Social Security Numbers and suspicious activity in the workplace. Ice has a free tip-line: 1-866-DHS-2ICE for intelligence to locate illegal aliens, or predatory businesses that employ them. But we must Demand that laggard Democrats under the arrogant thumb of leaders, who refuse to endorse this 'all' enforcement bill. The American people must decide if they want millions more to pour across our porous border. Call toll-free (2022243121 )

"There's that phrase about working in the States for a `pair of years,' earning a little something, and then returning home in triumph," Padilla said. "But with the economy in crisis, you can't save much and you discover that the so-called dream is false."
No sir- you are wrong. There is a dream. however, in order to obtain teh dream, you are subject to whatever this economy dishes out. The key to Longevity here is to see the big picture.....not the short-term gain like you have managed to try to pinpoint. It takes a long time to save money here. Perhaps sending money home every paycheck wasn't a smart move. I once heard about a contractor worker who in fact was Mexican- and trying to "get in the good graces" of the IRS. HE said he had to pay taxes-but needed to borrow $3000 to do it. MY buddy asked him where the money he had made had gone to and he said he had spent it all-But not every penny. Turns out this guy was sending home $400 a month to Mexico. Hmm- $400x12 months-that would have more-than covered his so called taxes! LOL
There is a dream-but it becomes difficult to obtain if you are hiding because you realize you aren't welcome here without documentation. Yes- partones pay you what ever they want because you do not have work permission and he is doing you a bigger favor, than you are for him. It is HIS RISK to pay you to work for him illegally. IT is sad- but that is a fact. No documents typically leads to a lower wage. Not rock bottom like so many people claim on here- but typically about 15-20% less.
