It's definitely been a battle this week - Yolanda's entry for week 3

The past few days, I've had some setbacks with working out. Let me start by saying, I'm not trying to make excuses. I haven't done any real physical activity since Saturday at our group meeting, whih went well I thought. April, who is my trainer, led us through a class of yoga/pilates/stretching. This class was right on time, since I was feeling a little sore. I woke up at 6am and did my Firm Body Sculpting Video. Last week I woke up before going to work (5:15am) and did the firm Body Sculpting and Muscle Sculpting Video. I felt great all day and it worked better for me schedule wise. I find that if I go home after work and then try to go back out to the gym to workout it doesn't work as well. I am going to try the morning workouts at the gym before work and going straight to the gym after work.

Yolanda's Battle of the Bulge Progress

I am Yolanda, a Hilton Head Battle of the Bulge contestant. Well we had a group meeting on Monday at Beach City Health and Fitness. I had a chance to meet everyone and personally met my trainer. The group seemed to be very enthusiastic and pumped, even the staff of the fitness center was pumped. I think we are going to have a great time together and keep each other motivated to accompish our goals.
My first task is to keep a food diary for 5 days. I started on Monday, writing down EVERYTHING that I eat and drink. Keeping a food diary really keeps you aware of every little thing you eat. I am a big candyholic, so it has actually kept me from eating as much, when I get that urge for sugar beacuse I don't want to write it down. I have been trying to eat a lot more fruit when that sugar craving hits, but sometimes it's just not the same. Cutting out all of the candy is definitely going to be hardest thing to do.
