Well what a wonderful surprise this morning to show up and see that Jen would be training us today instead of Stacy. As always it was an interesting and tough workout. We did our own Battle easter egg hunt. We ran to find the eggs and then once we did we had to do the activity that was in each one. We did everything from pushups (my favorite of course) to line sprints. I can't believe how much each of us are able to do though. This is by far a much different group then what started 11 weeks ago. We are more agile, fit, and just plain comfortable with ourselves.
We weren't supposed to weigh in today. Josh had told Dave that he just wanted us to wait until next week. Being the group we are though we all decided to wait till Dave and Jen left and weigh. I am down another 2 so I am now 4 pounds short of my goal. I don't think that I will be able to hit that in a week but I will get there. I think that is what I have learned. I don't have to hit my goal this week or even next but I know I will get there because i now have the determination and drive to do it.

1 Week to Go - Michelle's Entry
Submitted by quizmq on April 15, 2006 - 9:40pm.Week 11 - Michelle's Blog
Submitted by quizmq on April 9, 2006 - 9:44pm.Jen worked us again this saturday. We started outside with a crazy game of tag. Each time we change how we tagged each other and I have to say it was tough but fun. You might be thinking that it doesn't sound like much. Well each time we got out we had to go to the side and do crunches, jumping jaccks, pushups, or some other activity. Then we went upstairs at Breakthrough and did some Yoga which was really intresting and also a bit entertaining. We also weighed in and I was down 3 pounds which puts me 6 pounds away from my goal.
We are coming towards the end of our time and I really can't believe it. When I first applied for this I really didn't expect to be picked. Now I have lost 19 lbs. 21 inches and have gained so much confidence, learned many healthy habits and have met some incredible people. Through it all i have had some amazing support. I wanted to thank a couple of them in the Blog before we get to the end of the journey.

Seeing the Finish Line - Michelle's Blog
Submitted by quizmq on April 6, 2006 - 10:28pm.Well we are almost finished and Dave has turned into psycho trainer. Man he has been tough this week and I know that the last two are going to be just as bad. I can't believe this thing is almost over. I have come a long way that is for sure. When i started this I wasn't really doing it for me. I was worried about what other people were thinking about but now it is more about how happy i am with myself. I still think about other people's perceptions a lot but I am trying to think more about just being happy for me.
I am off school this week and next so i am really kicking it up a notch. I am trying to do cardio in the morning and then weight training and cardio at night.
Final Stretch - Michelle's Blog
Submitted by quizmq on March 28, 2006 - 10:33am.Ok I know it has been about a week since I have blogged but I had report cards to do and they take FOREVER so i haven't been able to write.
Saturday we met with Stacy to do some crazy bar work, 10 million lunges, and some yoga (which I enjoy more and more each time we do it.) It was tough but I can tell it is building my muscle and toning me up. I really enjoy Stacy's workout because she is always giving us great tips and advice while we are working.
After class we weighed in. It was a bit disappointing for me though because I didn't lose anything. This is the first week that has happened to me. I wasn't all that surprised though because I have been really busy and unfortunately that means working out falls a little to the wayside.
8th week - Michelle's Blog
Submitted by quizmq on March 20, 2006 - 3:31pm.Saturday was a good day. We met as a team and worked out with Stacy. I was down two pounds and I am pumped because the last three weeks I was only down one. That is 16 pounds so far and my goal is 25. That means I have to lose two from here on out to make my goal. I really really want to make the goal so I will be working harder than ever to try and lose the weight. Plus I have a small side bet going with Mike for this week so if I don't want to be humiliated on Saturday I had better lose my two pounds this week.
I have to say I really enjoy getting together with the team on Saturdays. It is nice to know that they are going through the same things you are. Plus we usually have a few good laughs during our workout.

Still Fighting- Michelle's Entry
Submitted by quizmq on March 14, 2006 - 3:09pm.Wow! I might have pushed myself a bit hard last night. I met Dave at 4:30 at breakthrough and we had a tough workout. I can tell I have more stamina then when I started. It is a great feeling. I am also able to do much more. For example when I first started I could only do 3 real sit-ups. Now I am doing 20 at the end of my workout.
Wednesday Dave and I are going to take Stacy's class on the island which should be interesting. Dave said yesterday "it should be fun" followed by "I heard it is really difficult" Yep that is Dave for ya..anything really difficult has to be fun :)
I also decided to do spin last night and I worked really hard at it.
Sickness Slows Michelle Down
Submitted by quizmq on March 13, 2006 - 10:00am.It has been a little bit since I haved blogged. Last week I was fighting a chest infection. This is due in part to all the pollen around right now. I met with Dave on Wednesday and Friday but our workouts were a step down from last week. I think I actually prefer the harder workouts but whatever will help me the most i will do. I trust Dave.
Saturday we met as a group and we are still doing really well. I am very proud of my whole team. Jennifer led us again and boy is she tough. Her classes are very challenging. I always feel like I have been put through the wringer when I am done. I ended up dropping another pound on Saturday but I am pretty sure I gained it back yesterday.
Cutting away the time - Michelle's entry
Submitted by quizmq on March 7, 2006 - 11:18am.Last night Dave couldn't meet so I was on my own. I mapped out 3 miles around the neighborhood with my brother and then went at it. I was able to do it in 33 min. I was pretty stoked. i also went to spin last night. Tonight I am hopefully meeting with Dave but if not then I will do spin and the 3 miles again.

A Weekend of Downs and an Up - Michelle's Entry
Submitted by quizmq on March 6, 2006 - 10:38am.Overall not a great weekend. I was very disappointed in my weight loss on Saturday. I worked harder than ever this week with Dave and only lost a pound. Josh and the other trainers are sure I am doing something wrong with my diet so this week I am focusing on that and going to work close with the nutritionist Chris. It is still hard to believe though. I feel like I am eating so much better then i used to and I am sticking pretty close to what chris set up in the beginning.
I have to say the group and trainers were very nice about the small loss. They all tried to encourage me and say it wasn't a big deal. I think at that point though I was stil too upset to listen.
2 Miles - 24 minutes- Michelle's Entry
Submitted by quizmq on March 3, 2006 - 10:04am.This is a short one. I am starting to prepare for the St Patricks day run on the island. Last night I did 2 miles in 24 min. I ran 1/2 mile then walked 1/2 then ran1/2 then walked the last 1/2. I was whipped. My goal is to keep doing 2-3 miles every day until the race. opefully i can finish under 45 min. Until Monday with the group update...
